that specific timeline, once the death has already occurred. Mayuri died in the Beta timeline because of SERN, but past that point nothing could save her in the timeline. Assuming Okabe found a completely dead Kurisu in the Alpha timeline, then nothing he could do in that specific timeline would save her regardless, because she's already destined to die.
