I read the manga a few weeks ago, didn't it was getting an anime.
First episode seemed okay. I agree about the facial expressions being missed. I don't think Mei's voice really fits. The manga imo was okay, standard shojo. I feel the anime will probably tone down things a bit, since the manga is rather heavy on promiscuously.
I think this series is gonna get overshadowed by the other sudden kiss at the end shojo series, Tonari though.
