I think Kanon is a very particular character. He's got a weak body, he could be mistaken for a girl, he even got a female VA. But you would never think of him as effeminate considering his behavior. He has his own cool moments, like when he challenged directly Beatrice with that cleaver. Sure he might have died in the end, but he's almost on par with Battler as for courage and resolution.
He's also one of the most enigmatic characters of the whole human cast. He's the one who is affected by the worst case of furniture complex. After Rosa he's the one who's mostly dominated by rage. He dislikes Gohda, he dislikes Eva, he even dislikes Natsuhi. And that's ironic considering his furniture complex. Furnitures are not allowed to love but they are allowed to hate their master?
Why is it that he calls Shannon "Neesan" and he's so attached to her? Could their relationship be that strong when they were merely 6 years old? And after that supposedly he's never seen her for the next seven years.
