Sorry for the double post...
I notice that game threads rarely talk about the story contents, but I like to take this chance to express my thoughts and opinions about three characters that I've noticed, have been getting alot of heat from... Lesser ordered forums. I'm certain the people here are more mature individuals, so I would like to hear your thoughts on this...
Rita
Spoiler:
Rita's a Tsundere, plain and simple. And when it comes to tsunderes, you'll either love them or hate them, this is a truth that I've come to accept. But I like to remind people the reason for her to behave the way she did; Growing up pretty much alone in an environment like Aspio, Rita would harding have developed 'proper' social skills.
For that, I can accept her the way she is and that there's no reason why she should be blamed for that.
The whole point of her side of this story is her change from a 'blastia-freak', to someone who could could care for people and not just her research. In that sense, I feel that she's a great character.
Oh, and for the record (Because I know some people are thinking it), her feelings to Estelle is purely friendship-_- Sure, some sentences could have been better phrased, but there's no arguing when she herself refers to Estelle as her friend:
"Nobody uses my best friend as a tool!"
Karol
And the number one character... That I've not seen a single person stand up for...
Spoiler for Events after Zaude... If you don't know what it is, don't read:
...Is Sodia.
If you're reading this, then I assume you know which scene I'm referring to. Now, I'm not saying that she should have done that... But I am saying that I can understand why she did it.
Look at this from Sodia's point-of-view. Yuri is a known criminal who has broken the law on several occasions, and shows no remorse for what he has done. Abeit, those were all minor offences, but like Flynn said, a crime is still a crime. But that's fine, Sodia didn't like how Yuri gets away with it, but she still put up with himit
The problem comes when later in the story, she notices how much of a negetive effect that Yuri has on Flynn. Not knowing the depth of their relationship, she comes to the conclusion that Yuri is bad for Flynn.
Fast forward to Zaude, we have Flynn taking a bullet for Yuri; I believe something snapped in her, that made her believe that sooner or later, Yuri would eventually lead Flynn to his death. So she takes it upon herself to kill him before he gets Flynn killed. Her expression at the end of that scene could also be explained. People do bad things in the heat the moment, only to regret it afterwards.
So yes, what Sodia did was bad, but she was certainly not crazy.
Actually, thinking about it, I'm glad she stabbed Yuri... Why? Because I get to see some very entertaining reunion with Estelle and later on Rita
"Look at how happy Rita is!"
Bleh, It's been awhile since I've talked that much... -_-
