I'm not sure how sex is supposed to be comforting in the first place, but I don't really see anything wrong with the Myung and Guld relationship while it was consensual. Myung might have other issues, but she was hardly traumatized or victimized by it.

The same goes for Lucy. Sure she lost out, but it hardly looked like she was looking for some sort of long-term relationship with Isamu.

Now, I'd like to remind you that there are people reading these Macross Frontier threads who haven't watched the older Macross shows, so it'd be impolite to spoil the story for them if they do. Moreover, if you want to pursue this line of discussion, I suggest you do so in the Macross Plus thread.

It's possible that Kathy knows more about what Leon's up to, and she might not mind. Relationship-wise, it's not all that uncommon for one partner to overlook the shortcomings of the other. Then again, Leon's agenda might not be all that sinister to begin with. We have a lot more to learn about it.
