I wonder if Studio Proteus will stop "Americanizing" manga once Toren Smith leaves the industry? At least they don't change character names to fit an "American" audience.

Dark Horse Comics has announced the January 19, 2005 release of the English translated Ghost in the Shell 2: Man Machine Interface graphic. Unlike the individual monthly comic issues, the graphic novel will labeled for readers aged 18+ and will come shrinkwrapped. This suggests that the graphic novel version may include the graphic sex scenes found in the Japanese Ghost in the Shell 2 Solid Box edition which were not included in the Japanese mass market edition or American comic book release.

I hope the theatrical release is to a larger number of theatres than the first GITS film was.
