Sounds in addtion to being romantically-dense (which is nothing negativ per say), he has a slight "anger problem" whenever a sore spot is hit/mentioned. Though, a least in the anime, Sorata has never called Mashiro by her first name - despite their promise - up to the point I had watched the anime, that ist.
