That's an excellent question that might not even have an answer. He's like the 1st Hokage from Naruto. This guy was powerful enough to defeat Madara in his prime while he was controlling the 9 tails and strikes fear in the hearts of every shinobi that's lived since his time...Yet he died in some kind of unknown way that I'm still trying to figure out even now
