Hell, no. I have mad respect for snipers. (Back in my army days, had the pleasure of seeing some aspects of their training. Some even bunked next door to my platoon.) Simo Hayha himself is probably the patron saint of snipers.

Spoiler for Characters:
There's no need to answer any questions asked here, only to know the answers yourself. And do you want me to give Character suggestions?
Commander: Louise Bathory (2LT, LT, CPT after the Gallian war) - How does she react to those who... make it obvious that they like her 'well-toned body'?
- Any easily pushable buttons? Hard ones?
- What was her family life like? Was her father ambitious, and that's why he married into nobility? How did he feel about his children being more noble than he? Or did her parents not care so much for their titles?
2IC: Daniel Synder (Sgt) - His shaving sounds like mine
- How long has he been the 2IC of this unit? Longer than any other member of the Rats? About as long as most of them?
- How did he get to his position?
- What do the Rats think of him?
Sniper 1: Mark Picker (CPL) - Since he doesn't trust easily, are there other members of the Rats who haven't earned it yet?
- Why doesn't he trust easily? Who burned him in the past?
Sniper 2: Marie - Given Imperial treatment of Darcsens, how did she join the army?
- Where is her family? (Work camp? Ghetto?)
- Might want to cover having her writing a letter to her family at some point in the narrative.
Scout 1: Luthor Dumas - Is he particularly fond of any specific animal?
- Does he prefer the outdoors to human contact, or just city streets?
- Why is he talkative? Hiding something? Mild boasting? Constantly nervous?
And a reminder about the Mark/Marcus thing.

To quote Homer, "D'oh!!"
*The breaking of the news would take some time to formulate. After all, it does take a while for all the logistics to fall in place. So, it would be wise to keep it within the squads first.
*It's only veiled insults. She does recognise Darcsen talent when she sees it, but can't really bring herself to praise them as she would for other troops.
*Well, Squad 7 will tag along, as Welkins's respect for Louise is now there. He, and the squad, felt that they and Gallia owned her something.
Input is always welcomed.
Spoiler for Characters:
1)Louise
-Well, she appreciates the praises, but extend that hand to the wrong places and she'll... You get the idea.
-Her father is somewhat Zen-like. To him, everything happens for a reason. After all, he met his wife while she went to the streets incognito. He knows his place in official outings with the nobility, but he's no fool either. He holds his head up high, is proud of doing honest work before AND after his marriage, and loves his family.
-Well, her quirk is to munch on bread. So, her button would be taking away the bread.
2)Daniel
-He's definitely the vet of the place. So, he's been there the longest. In fact, Louise relies on him heavily to get the personalities of the various soldiers.
-Given the mess the outpost is in, I'll say that he was picked randomly by one of the previous commanders.
-The Rats respect him for doing his best to help the squad cope with the ill conditions.
3)Mark
-He seldom hangs out with others outside his clique. The outpost is a mess, so the bitching and other stuff keeps him occupied.
-His background is somewhat akin to Marina's. He comes from a hunter's family, but doesn't really like to hurt animals, much less hunt them. However, the old man was a tad harsh on him as a boy. So yeah, he lacks trust in others as he felt that apart from his close pals, not even his family bothered to understand his feelings on certain things.
4) Marie
-Surprisingly enough, one of the previous commanders accepted her without another word. After all, he needs the numbers and Darcsen or not, it doesn't really matter.
-Ghetto, definitely. Poor loving conditions, and a few younger siblings to feed.
-Letter writing would correspond with a chat with Louise. The commander should understand her troops, as Louise would say.
5) Luthor
-Nope, no preference. He loves them all.
-He's more at home in the wild, but people don't scare him. After all, he does have to keep a certain snarker in check...
-Mainly in response to Mark. Also, on the right topics, he can talk. And talk. And talk. On other less interesting topics, he merely talks. And talks.
