Well, from what I can glean, the revenue model for Yamato 2199 was to rely on mature Asian audience who is earning their disposable income to buy the movie tickets , bd/dvd, and whatever other things they are selling, so lack of young western audience was probably anticipated. Still it is such a good series to miss. I just hope that Yamato 2199 becomes enough of commercial success to stay around long enough for some of the Western youngsters to repent and pay homage to it.
