It's actually interesting how much people think that she was the "mastermind" - one who planned everything out from beginning to end. After watching all the episodes, the way I see it is while she did sincerely want to help at the beginning, towards the end, just as all the other characters she lost control of her emotions and got "pulled in" to the whole thing.
