Now that I've got that out of my system...

I'm highly interested in this one. I wouldn't say my expectations are high, (( These kind of premises as perfect as they are for quality visual direction and background layouts and art are also the easiest to botch, for over-conventionalism and generic style )), but at the very least, the cast featured are a group who clearly knows their visual art direction.

That was potential in the buckets botched by it's weak artistic visual direction. I swear, Nishikura and Shisido needs to watch more chinese doramas. Putting dorama's cheap CG effects aside, most of what I've seen in it's adaptions of the traditional chinese story (( especially those made in the early to mid-90s, those were a class of their own )), they utilized conceptual visual storytelling perfectly with backdrops + character voice utilizations and a fleeting backgrounds with differing moods to set the atmosphere. SaiMono is still damn good, but there's room for visual improvement. A LOT of room. It's not even about the production values for god's sake. Now that I've got that out of my system...
