Personally tho' I like them when their all weird and stupid sounding.

Bleach as in
"to bleach" and way of saying
"to purify" reflective of the series style in the characters.
Can't really put my finger on it ATM.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the Gurren Lagann is a name in the series of names. It's smart and gives you a big hind on what the series is about.
