(Too lazy to translate the quotes, but people who have played the game and cares/don't care about time stop being cut would probably understand)
Obviously the one of the greatest quote in the whole exchange is Keiichi's, "ごめん梨花ちゃん・・・リタイアしちまう"
As we have seen, Keiichi has been fighting the whole fate thing. It's the main theme of Minagoroshi-hen. When Rika was discouraged, he was there to show that fate can be changed. He did that with the smallest thing, changing the games played in the toy shop, to solving the unsolvable event, Teppei's return. For a person who has done so much to give up, the readers can really feel the despair in that situation.
Skiping the sentimental talk in between, and how they each felt about Keiichi's impeding death, the time moves again. And the first thing we see is
"見終わったのね?走馬灯…" by Takano
followed by Keiichi's death. Again, it's one of the essential quotes that really should've been kept, but obviously can't be there without the sequence. This is were I felt the most impact of the whole thing was. It's due to the absolute despair that Takano inflicted, that the rest of the members lost their will to fight, and were eventually excuted one by one. Compare to the game, anime Takano is just doing a half-assed job. That is shown in a lot of minor details, starting from Mion's execution
and the subtle change of Satoko's. Originally, it's
Satoko:"Brocooli"
<Bang>
Takono:"Correct"
It's subtle, but it's definitly more impact since Satoko has never gotten that question right. And she'll never hear that she was right.
