Since Colorless King was doing a lot of taunting, I think that the current young Weissman-Shiro is the real one and the one on the blimp was the stand-in so to speak. Weissman could have been trying to take a break by being a student when he got attacked by Colorless King setting everything in motion. Weissman had the stand-in following him in the blimp to pick him up when needed.
