I need some help with this one...I remembered more similar scenarios...what I have sounds like a stretch. But, eh, just throwing this out there.

Spoiler for Episode 1:

In episode 2 of Suzumiya Haruhi, Suzumiya is asked why she won't join a sports club since she is so athletic. Kyon describes how she goes from club to club each day, but doesn't join any of them. She is shown running fast (and playing tennis).

Likewise, in episode 1 of Lucky Star, Konata is running FAST and Tsukasa asks, "Why aren't you on any sports teams when you're so athletic?"

(I thought someone asks Haruhi the same thing almost verbatim...did my husband and I imagine this? I think it's early on but I couldn't find it.)

It's funnier since Konata and Suzumiya have the same seiyuu. But then, a lot of things are funnier with that in mind.
