I don't recall that trait about Cliffjumper, but I've been out of the loop for a long time (And I'd always been more for YoJoes than Rolling Out)
Worse idea:
Extra!Yuuko drives a Lancia Stratos.
Wheeljack in Transformers turns into a Lancia Stratos.
Wheeljack is the Autobots' Mad Scientist.
