I agree, you can't just drop the lovers on different sides angle this early. I know we have Soma, and Allelujah but that's between Super soldiers, and the ordinary soldiers angle we have between Saji and Louise should be interesting.
That and does Saji really need to
1. Have his lover lose her hand, have her personality change, and then have his lover try to get revenge.
2. Have A-Laws ruin his life
3. Cause the deaths of hundreds of people
4. Kill his lover without knowing its her
5. Find out after the fact that he killed his lover with his first shot or worse never find out she's dead and spends the rest of his life searching for her.
