Either way, as for Hayate not revealing his sex to Luca. It isn't because he doesn't want to get himself out of that situation, but since he's already been with her in rather awkward situations (which Luca didn't mind since she thought Hayate was a girl), and since she also told him about her not being good handling lies, he's been trying to keep Luca convinced he's a girl, so that she doesn't feel bad and betrayed. The deal about lies being especially important, due to the deal her family went through.
