I was too busy getting over the fact that he was schizophrenic to really feel depressed. The ending was still quite sad, though.

Really? I found Lamune's ending to be rather uplifting. A touch of hope for all of us.

And the depression level of Clannad pales in comparison to other Key adaptations (yes, even the movie), let alone a lot of the other stuff in this thread.
