This is exactly how I feel as well. I least with this jump the stakes have been raised with the plot moving forward faster. I will miss seeing certain chapters, Yui and Hinoki mainly.
The episode itself was really well done, ending at a good stop with nice BGM. Almost got chill during the Kanon being watched portion.
