Last batch of Summaries for today.
This is the entirety of Will's interview with Kinzo.
I stopped during the young Kinzo sequence since my brain is shot and I need to study.
Spoiler for Summaries:
- Will asks if Leon mentioned what he wanted to talk about. Leon says that's Will's job.
- Leon thanks Shannon for her work. Leon, for whatever reason, doesn't know Shannon's name and has to ask for it.
- Leon and Will leave to meet Kinzo.
Guestroom
- Leon introduces Will to Kinzo. Genji is with them. Kinzo of course is in mourning and doesn't seem to care much.
- He eventually greets them. Will actually acts dignified this time. Will says he wants to learn about Beatrice.
- Kinzo gets a rather foul exprssion on his face. He asks why Will doesn't ask everyone else. Will says he wants to learn it from the very person who knows her. He says the others have different stories about her.
- Kinzo laughs out loud and says Beatrice is his one and only Beatrice no matter what everyone else says and distorts it.
- Genji asks for Will to be respectful of Beatrice's final days. Leon asks if Kinzo really loved her.
- Kinzo asks what Will knows of Beatrice, and how he is ignorant of the truth he has not yet seen.
- Will dictates his knowledge of Beatrice which is similar to the backstory that is always provided (I won't type this up). He adds the daughter this person had that was raised in Kuwadorian.
- Genji or Kinzo (I forgot who said it sorry) do not actually confirm or deny (?) the existence of Kuwadorian. Leon mentions Rosa's story.
- Kinzo relates about the Beatrice of his mind and of the one in Kuwadorian. Will is lead to conclude that Kinzo thinks of her as a rebirth rather than a daughter. He seeks to confirm the child's existence with Genji.
- Flashback to the end of a previous game where a similar story of a child was revealed by Genji.
- Will's insinuation of Kinzo's love child and seeing her as a rebirth rather than a daughter insults Leon. Will goes on to say that Beatrice was a beloved woman to Kinzo that he refused to let her go, and thus accepted the second Beato as a rebirth.
- He says that the second one inherited the mother's looks, hair, eyes etc. which lead Kinzo to think Beatrice was reborn.
- Genji speaks to Kinzo about this rude person.
- Will suggests that perhaps Kinzo was enthralled at this development. He wonders if this was enough for Kinzo as Will could only consider how wrong all of this feels. Will seems to suggest that the daughter Beatrice was apparently aware of some of the memories her mother had.
- Flashback to Rosa meeting with this Beatrice, who did not really understand how people expected magic from her but apparently was told that she is "Beatrice the Golden Witch."
- Will (I think, no subject is named) suggests that attempted sorcery was done to try and get the daughter Beatrice to regain the memories of the original Beatrice by recapturing the original soul that died (something to that extent, the language here is kind of hard).
- Genji it would seem agrees with this?
- Genji does not deny that Kinzo loved her, but it is up to the person to do what they feel is right for that which remains.
- Kinzo goes into a crying stupor about his live for Beatrice. He asks for forgiveness. He believed that with his love, she was (would have been?) reborn. However he actually had some doubts in his heart if this was even the rebirth of the original Beatrice. He now feels some guilt over how his love has driven him mad enough to lock the second Beatrice up in Kuwadorian.
- Will speaks of the overwhelming emotion Kinzo must have felt on losing not one but two Beatrices, and how this must have driven him to try so many things just to get her back.
- Kinzo again is in his mourning stupor while crying out for Beatrice.
- Kumasawa enteres the room and reveals knowing about this entire issue. Leon asks if she knew and Will mentions how the captain in the fourth game revealed that Kumasawa went in and out of Kuwadorian, taking care of the young Beatrice (Imagine the scenes between young Beatrice and Virgilia, if the Virgilia=Kumasawa is accepted).
- Leon cannot believe this. KUMASAWA CONFIRMS THE EXISTENCE OF KUWADORIAN.
- Short flashback to the construction ok Kuwadorian and how Kinzo led double lives. Kinzo used the business trip excuse to make the trips. She calls it like a father and daughter relationship but Will is skeptic of this.
- Kumasawa does point out somewhat that as she grew up, she resembled her mother more and more which distorted his view of her. He eventually would come to see her as a Beatrice rather than a daughter. (Yes you can imagine what this suggests...)
- Kumasawa hints at how this sort of attraction was pretty much inevitable as fate (?). Leon finds this development unbelievable.
- Kinzo wonders if this belated funeral (?) would be enough to earn her forgiveness.
- Kinzo, now sober, thanks Leon and Will for giving him this chance to let all these feelings out into the open. Perhaps they were sent by Beatrice from heaven to console him he thinks.
- Will and Kinzo shake hands. A light emanates from their shake that Will notices.
