Are you serious!? Are you really taking Momo's plan seriously? or are you talking about the manga's "main plot" (because it's not really "main", and hardly qualifies as "plot")

Haruna as a kitty was a bad choice... a puppy would make more sense personality-wise, and definitely would stay put to wash her.
