I'm trying to get used to it because:
1.) Are they going to animate it from the perspective of the TV cameraman/producer the entire way?
2.) I'm expecting a damn mech to pop up somewhere.
I'm also trying to get used to the appearances they've changed for a few characters (unless these were the original designs):
- Ritsuko for one is older, much older
- Iori has brown hair and no exposed forehead compared to Xenoglossia, which was the butt of jokes about her the entire series.
I guess I'm too used to Xenoglossia. XD
I was introduced to the IdolM@ster girls through Xenoglossia (and the various Youtube videos showcasing performances from the 360 game). Therefore, I have little idea what their original designs and personalities were.
This is my first time that I'm getting more exposure to the original characters than their alternates in Xenoglossia.
However, if I were to take it from the perspective separate from Xenoglossia and if it was my first time ever seeing the girls of IM@S, I would say they did a good job mimicking the game and translating it into an anime. They did a good job for the first episode introducing all the characters.
The camera work and the perspective they chose to use in the anime will take some getting used to though.
Lastly, I'm watching/may watch this for two reasons:
- Mami
- Ami
I liked them in Xenoglossia and I see their personalities are roughly the same here-- both rather cute and adorable girls.
