Hakaze's feelings toward Yoshino have good reason. If the anime is in line with the manga, these reasons will be explained.
About happy endings, perhaps the anime has a happy ending (if the anime has an original ending). Although I'm sure the manga will have a bittersweet ending (the author usually write that kind of end).

I thought the whole premise was that the story wasn't going to end in tragedy. Hakaze is supposed to play Propero and she's gonna save two dudes destined to die.
I got the impression that this Mahiro and Yoshino were flagged for death once they started quoting their favorite Shakespearean character and they aren't going to die because we're expecting them to die.
