The biggest difference, I think, is that Japanese villainess titles tend to follow a certain template/trend that the villainess is actually a misunderstood good person, or that they're redeemed into a better person (like in Hamefura). For them it's a proven safe formula with no risks.

Korean writers, I find, are a bit more willing to push their writing in certain directions. Plus their preference for sassier, slightly badass MCs. In fact, I'd say Aria's a bit more like the main character of a Chinese webnovel - ruthless, cunning and capable of great cruelty to their enemies.
