ironically the problem with that is very few anime's get to the good part after 3 episodes and sometimes you need that first 4 or 5 to get going. Naruto Bleach and One piece are relatively generic after the first 3 episodes and they are the big 3 Even Dragon ball Z which many argue is the best anime ever after 3 episodes is still pretty boring. But as you say 3 episodes isn't good enough. Code Breaker was ruined because they revealed so much early that it ruined the fun of the show. Hagure Yuusha may not get a 2nd season because of that rule cause in the first 3 episodes our guys just a perv sadly that rule is the ruin of anime and people should give it at least 4 or 5 episodes. Although some harems need more cause you need to introduce everyone unless its one of those based off of dating sims which 3 episodes is just the first arc. This one suffers from a similar dating sim esque fate where 3 episodes is the first girl or something like that
