Kudos to those who figured that Emi was a hero for personal reasons, as well as those who realized the Four Generals weren't dead and gone. Those two things were killing me.

Not quite right. Actually, the anime is still behind the manga by about 8 chapters (ch.15), however it has caught up to the latest translated chapter.
