One thing I don't understand. The defense contractors resist the use of exoframes. But why? Shouldn't they be overjoyed if everyone, even and especially the wealthiest nations on Earth, have to completely re-equip their armies? Sure, they'd have to come up with new expensive add-ons for the dirt-cheap exoframes, but they've got the cash and engineers to do exactly that, don't they?
