I like how even Dekomori drops out of Chuunibyou-Mode (although she flipped back quickly) when it was revealed that Rikka completely sucks at math.
It's quite clear that "delusion" isn't quite the right translation as all the characters, even the ones who sink deeply into chuunibyou-mode, are quite able to delineate real-life from their fantasies.
