Most likely to capture him, he is a key figure of the last great war in Hell. So thus, he has a lot information. This Solomon company may has connections with the group that Athrun was working for. SO that could mean they may want to overthrow the Baby Beel's father. Also meaning that these kidnapping of the Pillar Squads means that they have a lot of contractors. Most likely inexperience, so they may want to capture Saotome to force him to train more master contractors.
