That thought occurred to me as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he offers her peaches in honey since those have been mentioned for 2 episodes now.
I expect Horo and Lawrence to reconcile even if he doesn't offer her an expensive gift. But I don't expect his financial difficulties to be resolved. I think that'll happen in the next episode. In this episode, I predict they'll connect up with Nora again and the three will work together to resolve Lawrence's problem and perhaps Nora's too.
