? Maybe the bright colours help give an impression that she won't stick around with that group. Could be that the others seem to weird, of course didn't bet on Gajeel joining up so surprises can happen.

Well they did better than I expected. Figured Wendy and Panther Lily they wouldn't be able to do much, but they fought pretty effectively considering Lily didn't have a sword.
Mest was an interesting surprise, though he is an enemy of the guild. Just turned out to be a different enemy than what was initially suspected. A nut who works for the council (his whole "I want to know" makes more sense now). At least he can be a temporary ally. Also makes sense why he and Wendy lost, he really is that weak

Surprise though that the second master of Fairy Tail is not only alive, but evil. How can Makarov talk about retirement when this guy can still lead a guild at his age
