Nope. After all, all the Romance languages were derived from Latin, including lots of the grammar and vocabulary. Not to mention the amount of vocabulary that made it into English. And especially the grammar: since Latin is so systematic, it helps you think of grammar in a more organized way. Seven years of Latin is why I never study for grammar tests in English class. Plus, like I said before, regardless of direct practical uses, it still expands your thinking.
