I concur. I actually stopped watching the last few episode as I could predict the end - the three finally find out the truth of each other and resolve their misunderstanding. Then I watched them all in one go. Durarara and Bacanno thrive on
unpredictability. I suppose if they didn't make an anime original ending it would have lived up to expectation, except the ending would not be like an ending as the novels aren't finished.
