The subjectivity raises another interesting point. You may appreciate something at one point in your life, or after having experienced another form of entertainment, but how do you know what is optimal to view and when? Since we have limited time and want to optimize it, how can you know what you'll enjoy the most, given what you've most recently experienced?

Aside from going off of your own intuition and the advice of others, you can't. I don't think there's a point in trying. The best thing to do is to focus on yourself and enjoy each day as much as possible (even the moments that aren't necessarily pleasant). Don't dwell on what you can't see or do, but focus on what you can.
