Since Milly's mind was wiped no one at Ashford knew he is Lelouch Vi Britannia. I don't see how or why Schniezel would want to stop them. They are going to need to get word out to the rest of the Black Knights org.
Diethard films things to be shown to the world. Otherwise there was no reason to record it.
