Kubo loves his characters, i think he just want to "build them up", so they can die a kind of meaningful way at the end of bleach(rangiku - gin, tousen - komamura, hinamori - aizen, etc.. it will be a flashback orgy). Next thing is that you cant have a better chance to survive than being in bleach universe
i mean, your body is made of spirit particles or ectoplasm.. must feel great according to people that switch to a gigai
