The impressive thing is that the director kept the SHAFT like style he obviously picked up in his time with them.. but managed not to go over the top too much as Shinbo and his lieutenants tend to do. He also managed to either get a better budget and/or manage his time much better than anything done @ SHAFT going by the animation.
Now will be interesting to see how another ex SHAFT member in Shin Onuma and SILVER LINK handle
