But I want to beg the question: is the movie going to be a retelling of the series or a sequel or finale of sorts?
If the Madoka movie is the former then I think it's just a matter of Gen Urobuchi recreating what he did here without taking the focus away from any characters but obviously adding on to Kaname and Akemi. Although to be honest I'm not sure if it's going to hold up as well as the TV series did.
If the Madoka movie is the latter then I'm wondering how the film is going to develop Kaname and Akemi considering how the show ended.
I guess only time will tell (hey wait, did we have a conversation like this in a previous lifetime?
).
