I wonder if what Caster was going for there was "What have I
become?" The light from Excalibur seemed to finally remind him of what his life was like before his madness, which probably came as a result of his faith being irreparably crushed after Jeanne's tragic demise. So yeah, a subtle yet poignant swan song for the two.

Really? I didn't. The guy can barely sustain himself when Berserk is going wild, and without him his only weapon is a bunch of crappy insects. Against a fire user nonetheless. The result was painfully obvious from the start. Pun intended.
