The stronger a female character, the less armour she wears. Its part of the universal laws of anime and games.
The stronger a male character is, the larger the shoulder plates he has.
Of course there are other exceptions, if the female is not going for smaller armour, then maybe like Tomoe, smaller thongs, no bra and stuff.
