Looks like overall the monkey wrench is bigger, but the pipe wrench is far more common. Also, if by "hitting things" you mean zombie heads, I'd take the pipe wrench. It seems easier to handle in a fight, while still being able to dish out brain damage.

There are several classes of these wrenches. We had one at a science museum I worked at that had been used on oil rigs that was six feet long. It was 2H 1d20+ I'm guessing
.... I labeled it "Emergency Internet Tuning Wrench" and hung it on the wall outside our office.
