Hmmm. Awhile back I viewed a blog that had screenshots from the game, Kanon 2002 and Kanon 2006. I enjoyed the comparison. Can anyone point me to that blog? This time I'll bookmark it.
Downloading episode 6 now. I can't believe that we're only a quarter of the way through. If this were 2002 we'd already be halfway through. All hail Kanon 2006!
As an aside, I recently played through the first week or two of Kanon (the game) and I was impressed by how faithful Kanon 2006 is to the original material. The Kyuuichi (Kyon) influence can be laid to rest any time now. The game Yuuichi is a sarcastic ass (with a heart). There were points in the game where I was pleading with him, "No Yuuichi -- don't say that, yuu punk!"
As an off topic aside, I've read about half of an English translation of The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya recently and was impressed with how faithful the KyoAni anime was to the original material.
I hope Kyoto Animation remains a force to be reckoned with in the anime industry.
