Same procedure I think: Male lead annyoing from the start - Fuuka herself likable in the beginning until drama comes around which makes inexperienced and/or emotionally invested readers go batshit - at some point the main couple getting together until drama hits again and the inevitable breakup happens - shortly after rebound realtionship with a cute and devoted yet shallow female character which inexperienced readers root for - breakup with said female girl which leads to mentioned readers going batshit again - repeat drama, couple and breakup steps (batshitness on a constant high level from this point on) until obvious main couple gets together in the end.
I didn't recognize it with the black n white version but Fuuka looks quite mature on that colored cover with the lipstick. I was expecting her to be a teenager.
