Third, even assuming everything is true: that Mashiro should return to painting, and that no one would recognize her until she continues painting, why does it have to be now? Shiina never blatantly claimed she would never paint again, did she?
Do what her parents do and respect her break. Even if you don't approve of it, at least let her continue for a bit so that there's a higher possibility that she'll come back on her own terms, instead of coming back to painting grudgingly, then burning out later. It's one thing if Shiina was a deadbeat child and didn't want to do
anything like a real child. She has her own separate goals and is taking steps to realize them.
