I wouldn't put it past them. This is the same franchise that would sacrifice storytelling time to grow its shipping/relationship tumors just because. And there's not that many series I've seen that can make almost every moment count in a multi-cour anime. I just don't think the franchise has really ever shown to me that it was ever capable of such.

I just think it's better if they take the fast paced and "never look back" approach. And remember, there's no need to cover everything in the first go.

But I suppose I'm not using "filler" as a term for strictly anime-original additions.
