To me, it looks much more similar to Anubis from the game "Zone of the Enders"
As for the show's mechas, I voted for Gawain (slender and deadly if piloted precisely, traits that are not completelly unfamiliar to Lelouch
) and Gloucester (especially the one piloted by Cornelia - I like the knightly armor look of it).
