Speaking purely from the perspective of covering the event, this year was a definite improvement. It's clear that it was communicated to the mid-bosses who "press" were, and how they were supposed to be processed at events. It's unfortunate, that press would have problems getting into panels at all. I always thought they were treated similar to, if not better then premier badge holders, at least when it came to getting into panels. But good to know that things worked out better for you this year.
