3D is really cool for some stories... and sucks horribly at others. The medium should be chosen to *fit* the story. Lilo&Stitch was beautiful with the watercolor backgrounds and such.... in 3D it would have been an awful thing.

The main problem is that at this time the 3D movies marketing is having a lot of competense, specially coming from Dreamworks, Japan is taking over the 2d animation so Disney must expand its area of marketing to catch more audiense.
